There really aren’t many out there like Dougal, he really is an exceptional model of a cob. A real head turner for his stamp and movement, with the most wonderful temperament and attitude to really round him off. Compact but substantial model in the making with a huge front and active hind leg. Will make an awesome hunter or riding club allrounder.
Three super paces including a massive walk, expressive trot and uphill canter. Very well balanced for his age with good, clean transitions. Forward and responsive off the aids, he is not a kickalong plod! Starting to show good work into the contact but naturally holds himself well. Straightforward young horse to produce with a great attitude to his work.
Popping natural and coloured fences, including fillers, very sweetly. He is bold but careful and shows great technique over a fence both in front and behind. With his natural movement, ability and willing attitude Dougal really could turn his hoof to anything – hunting, hacking, dressage, showing, low level showjumping, cross country and all general riding club activities.
Great to hack and on the roads. Leads or follows. On the ground Dougal is a real pet. Very friendly and easy to do with a lovely laid back, ‘roll with it’ nature. He is a real character who loves kisses and cuddles and just wants to be your best pal! Absolutely no quirks or vices and a real pleasure to have around in every way. A real horse of a lifetime.
